Source: https://valdar.app/terms/ · updated: 2026-10-27 Legal # Terms of service Last updated: October 27, 2026 These Terms govern your use of the Sports Card Scanner — Valdar mobile app (the “App”) and the website valdar.app (the “Site”), operated by Vast Flow, LLP (“Vast Flow”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, or by using the Site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use them. Most of what follows comes back to one idea: a number Valdar shows you is a reading, and a reading is not a promise. A value is an estimate built from what similar cards sold for; a grade is an estimate built from a photo. Neither is an appraisal, an official grade or an offer. ## What the service is Valdar identifies sports cards from photos, shows market-value estimates built from public marketplace data such as eBay sold listings, produces condition-grade estimates with AI, and lets you organise collections and follow their value. The Site describes the App and links to the stores; it has no account and sells nothing. ## Values are estimates Market values in the App are statistical estimates derived from past public sales. They are not an appraisal, an offer to buy, or a guarantee that any card will sell for any price. A card sells for what one buyer paid on one day in one venue, in a condition a photograph may not fully show; an estimate built from past sales describes the middle of a range, and the next sale is a single draw from it. Treat the range as the information and the midpoint as a convenience. Nothing in the App or on the Site is financial advice. Whether to buy, sell, hold or grade a card is your decision alone, and no estimate may be presented as an appraisal to an insurer, a tax authority, a buyer or anyone else relying on it. ## Grades are estimates, not official grades Condition estimates are generated by AI from your photos and depend on photo quality, lighting and angle. They are not issued, endorsed or recognised by PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, TAG or any other grading company, and a professional grade may differ. Their purpose is to help you decide whether a submission fee is worth paying before you pay it. ## Licence to use the App We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play. ## Subscriptions and payment - The App is free to download with a free tier. Valdar Premium is an auto-renewing subscription; the price and period are shown in the store before you confirm, and local prices vary. - Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. - A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. - You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. - Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies; we cannot refund store-billed purchases directly. ## Acceptable use - Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or bulk-extract data from the App. - Do not use the App for unlawful purposes or to infringe anyone’s rights. - Do not try to disrupt or overload our infrastructure. - Do not upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to use. ## Trademarks and independence The App, the Site, the Valdar name and logo, and the software, design and content we created belong to Vast Flow and are protected by law. Card images, player names, team names and other marks belong to their owners and appear only to identify a card. Valdar is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any grading company, marketplace, card manufacturer or sports league — including PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, eBay, Topps, Panini and Upper Deck — and it does not buy, sell or consign cards or take a commission on any sale. ## Termination You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms. The sections on estimates, intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law survive termination. ## Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and the Site are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Vast Flow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of value or grade estimates. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. ## Governing law These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence are unaffected. ## Changes When these Terms change, the “Last updated” date above changes with them, and material changes are announced in the App where appropriate.
